Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA is are some beautiful scenic trails near the Merrimack River. I went for my walking trip there a few weeks ago because my sister had to take photos for her photography final. Although the trails were a bit confusing even with a map shown here: http://www.maudslayassociation.org/MSPAforms/MaudslayTrailMap.pdf
the three hour walk we did was beautiful.
It would be even more beautiful once the trails lined with Rhododendrons and Azaleas were in bloom.
But still the most beautiful trip I have taken so far. The trails have the option to go up through fields, over bridges, and along the Merrimack with the chance to see owls, eagles, hawks and other animals.
Total worth a trip for you or your family. Talk to you soon.
